Passport Value Guide

What's My Keystone Passport Worth?

A used Keystone Passport's worth starts with its year, series or generation, and specific layout. Structural condition, readiness to tow, installed equipment and service records shape the next comparison. Look up the matching model in an RV pricing guide, then obtain a cash offer. Lisa RV Buyers purchases older and current-year Passports around Greater Houston, with pricing confirmed after inspection.

Owner rinsing a travel trailer in a Texas driveway before selling it

A Passport 239ML with a Murphy bed and rear cargo door serves a different buyer than a 3400QD with a private quad bunkroom. That difference matters when you're working out what your Keystone Passport is worth. The Passport name covers lightweight travel trailers with different layouts, equipment and running gear—not one interchangeable product.

Keystone still produces the Passport family, now using Classic and Super Lite names. For broader builder information, visit our Keystone RV buying page. Here, the useful starting point is the exact trailer sitting in your driveway or storage space.

How do you find out what your Keystone Passport is worth?

Use a model-matched guide entry as a reference, then compare it with an offer for the trailer in its actual condition. At J.D. Power's RV guide, select the Passport's year, series and floor plan; distinguish original MSRP from used retail figures.

An advertised Keystone Passport price, a published retail estimate and a direct purchase offer answer different questions. A guide cannot inspect a soft floor, verify working air conditioning or confirm repaired damage. A cash buyer must account for the condition seen, needed work and the trailer's resale prospects.

This page explains the factors rather than providing an appraisal. Our guide to RV pricing factors covers the broader differences between asking prices, book figures and offers.

Which Passport model years and series should you compare?

Compare your Passport with the same model-year series and floor plan, including a Western Edition designation where applicable. These dated snapshots help identify equipment differences; they are not exact boundaries for every series.

Years What changed
2007 J.D. Power lists the Passport Series M-200 QS, confirming the line existed by this model year.
2008–2009 Passport 290BH trailers appear in a federal identification-label recall.
2020 Redesigned SL and GT series featured KeyTV, color-coded wiring, Wi-Fi/4G prep, electric stabilizers, enclosed heated underbellies and inorganic composite flooring. Western Edition specifications were separate.
2026/current lineup Classic and Super Lite names identify current offerings. The 2026 Super Lite flyer lists a NORCO BAL Huckbolt steel frame, Dexter torsion suspension, Goodyear Endurance tires, aluminum wheels and SolarFlex Protect.

Read the title and trailer identification labels, then match the model code to the correct year's brochure. Record SL, GT or WE markings instead of dropping them from your description. In 2020, GT equipment included a painted fiberglass front cap, Solid Step entry and an 8-cubic-foot refrigerator; SL listed a 6-cubic-foot refrigerator.

How does a Passport's layout change its buyer pool?

The sleeping arrangement, bathroom location and cargo access determine which buyers can use a particular Passport. These representative 2020 layouts show why length alone is an incomplete comparison:

  • SL 175BH: A 21-foot-3-inch single-axle bunkhouse with a queen bed and flip-up lower bunk.
  • SL 239ML: A 25-foot-5-inch Murphy-bed layout with double-over-double bunks, an outside kitchen and rear cargo door.
  • SL 240BH: A 27-foot-4-inch bunkhouse with a fixed 60-by-80-inch queen and double bunks.
  • GT 2210RB: A 26-foot-3-inch couples' trailer with one slide, an oversized rear bathroom and front queen bed.
  • GT 2900RL: A 33-foot-6-inch rear-living layout with rear recliners and a front queen bedroom.
  • GT 3400QD: A 38-foot-4-inch trailer with a private quad bunkroom and full-sized bunk beds.

Families may prioritize separate sleeping spaces; couples may prefer living room seating or a larger bathroom. Neither layout automatically earns more. Photograph beds both deployed and stored, and show how the cargo door works on an equipped bunkhouse.

Can the buyer's tow vehicle handle your Passport?

A buyer needs a tow vehicle that fits the particular Passport's loaded weight and tongue load, not merely its “lightweight” description. Passport is a nonmotorized A-frame/coupler travel trailer with a tongue jack, safety chains and breakaway system; the 2020 brochure also specifies electric brakes.

The 2020 239ML lists a brochure weight of 4,307 pounds and unloaded hitch weight of 425 pounds. The 3400QD lists 7,510 pounds and 1,105 pounds, respectively. Those hitch figures do not establish loaded tongue weight or prove that a particular pickup has enough payload.

Use the trailer's labels and the tow-vehicle manufacturer's limits. Some smaller Super Lite configurations are marketed for many SUVs and light-duty trucks, but that does not apply to every Passport. Axles differ by year, too: the 2020 brochure describes E-Z Lube and spread/load-equalization arrangements with exclusions, while 2026 Super Lite lists torsion suspension.

What strengthens or weakens a Passport's value?

Sound condition and correctly identified equipment make a Passport easier to compare and assess. An option's presence matters more than a seller assuming it came with the series name.

Details that support value:

  • Firm floors, dry interior surfaces and records explaining previous repairs.
  • Usable Murphy beds, bunks, slides and cargo doors appropriate to the floor plan.
  • Confirmed cooling equipment: 2020 models listed standard 13,500-BTU A/C and optional 15,000-BTU A/C.
  • Installed solar and battery equipment on newer trailers, clearly distinguished from preparation alone.
  • Receipts documenting completed VIN-specific recall work.

Details that can lower value:

  • Soft flooring, active leaks or damage whose extent is unclear.
  • Nonworking cooling, slide or sleeping-layout components.
  • Unresolved safety recalls affecting the individual trailer.
  • Missing or incorrect identification details that prevent a reliable model match.

One owner reported soft spots in a 2015 Passport Ultra Light and later suspected a toilet leak predating their ownership. That individual account does not establish a defect across the line. For a repaired floor, show the affected area, repair scope and finished result—not just a receipt labeled “floor work.”

How does Gulf Coast storage affect a Passport inspection?

Houston-area heat and humidity make roof condition, moisture evidence and actual cooling performance useful inspection priorities for a Passport. The 2020 brochure specifies laminated gel-coated Filon walls over welded aluminum framing, rather than corrugated aluminum siding, plus a one-piece Alpha Superflex TPO roof.

Inspect roof penetrations, sealant and interior areas below them. Photograph wall surfaces, ceiling discoloration and floors near plumbing. Rain gutters and an enclosed heated underbelly do not prove that a stored trailer stayed dry.

The 2020 brochure describes inorganic composite flooring. Keystone describes newer HyperDeck as water-resistant, but it is not available on every model; verify your trailer rather than assuming its floor construction. Record its storage setting and fitted A/C units, including electrical service for additional cooling equipment.

Which Passport recalls deserve a VIN check?

Your VIN determines recall applicability; a model year by itself does not. Check NHTSA's recall lookup for your own Passport and retain completion paperwork.

  • 08V220000: Certain 2008–2009 290BH trailers had labels showing 4,400-pound axle capacity instead of 3,500 pounds. Corrected labels were the remedy.
  • 15V207000: Certain 2015–2016 Passports had wheel-attachment studs that could fail and allow wheel separation. Replacement hubs addressed the problem.
  • 16V291000: Certain 2016–2017 3350BHWE trailers received undersized axles. The remedy was axle replacement.
  • 16V600000: Certain 2011–2017 Passports had improper A/C LCD thermostat wiring, creating a potential short and fire hazard if damaged. The control-box wiring required correction.
  • 21V708000: Certain 2019–2021 units fitted with Winntec 6020 regulators faced excessive propane pressure and fire risk. The remedy included regulator replacement and leak testing.
  • 21V292000: Certain 2021 Passports, including specified 282QB and 2400RB vehicles, had underrated safety chains requiring replacement.

Keep paperwork identifying the VIN, campaign and completed repair. These campaigns are not a complete recall history, and they do not apply to every trailer in those years.

What information makes a Passport cash offer useful?

A useful offer begins with enough detail to distinguish your Passport from another trailer wearing the same badge. Lisa RV Buyers purchases both older and current Passport model years directly from owners through our travel trailer buying service.

Include the year, series, floor plan code and VIN with exterior, roof, floor and damage photos. Add equipment details and repair records using the offer-request information page, then call or text 936-234-4278. Requesting a number costs nothing and does not commit you to selling.

Lisa RV Buyers uses those details for a preliminary figure and checks the trailer in person before settling the purchase amount. We visit Passports throughout Greater Houston, including Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston counties, and arrange collection at their location.

Questions

Keystone Passport value: owner questions

Is a 2018 Keystone Passport value comparable to a 2022 model?

Not on model year alone. Match the series, floor plan, installed equipment and condition before treating a 2018 Passport as a comparison for a 2022 trailer. Use each unit's identification labels and year-specific brochure. A newer date does not resolve differences in layout, prior water damage, cooling equipment or repair history.

Does Keystone Passport blue book value mean what I will receive?

A published guide figure is a comparison tool, not an inspection of your Passport or an agreed purchase amount. Select the exact year and model, and read whether the figure represents original MSRP or used retail. A buyer's offer also considers actual condition, needed repairs and the specific layout's resale prospects.

Can I sell my Keystone Passport if it has roof leaks?

Lisa RV Buyers considers Passports with roof leaks, water damage and other condition problems. Send clear photographs of the roof and affected interior areas, and explain any attempted repairs. Extensive damage can lead to a low offer. Describing the damage accurately makes the preliminary discussion more useful before the trailer is inspected.

Should I count solar prep as a solar system on my Passport?

No. Describe solar preparation separately from installed panels, charging equipment and batteries. The 2026 Super Lite flyer lists SolarFlex Protect, optional SolarFlex Discover and optional Dragonfly heated lithium-ion batteries, but your trailer's actual equipment needs confirmation. Equipment labels, purchase documents and clear photos help distinguish what is fitted from what was merely available.

Does every Passport have the same water-resistant floor?

No. The 2020 brochure describes inorganic composite flooring, and Keystone's newer HyperDeck description includes water-resistant materials, but HyperDeck is not available on every model. Confirm the construction for your particular year and floor plan. Inspect the actual floor and document repairs rather than using a material name as proof that no damage exists.
