A Tiffin Phaeton diesel pusher, an Allegro Open Road gas coach and a legacy Vanleigh fifth wheel need different information for an accurate offer. If you want to sell your Tiffin RV in Houston, start with the model family, year, floor plan and an honest account of its condition. Lisa RV Buyers buys these units directly from owners throughout Greater Houston, including Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston counties and nearby areas.
Which Tiffin RV models can you sell in Houston?
You can sell Tiffin Class A, Class B and Class C motorhomes, along with legacy Vanleigh fifth wheels. Tiffin’s parent company is THOR Industries. Its motorhome families cover gas coaches, diesel coaches, camper vans and Class C designs; its former towable division, Vanleigh RV, stopped operating effective March 2023.
| RV type | Model families | Identification note |
|---|---|---|
| Class A gas motorhomes | Allegro Open Road, also called Open Road Allegro | Confirm the year and floor plan, not just the Allegro name |
| Class A diesel motorhomes | Phaeton, Allegro RED, Allegro Bus, Zephyr | Include engine and chassis information when available |
| Class B camper vans | GH1 | Verified as a 2025 model; confirm your unit’s documents |
| Class C and Super C motorhomes | Wayfarer, Allegro Bay | Identify the family and chassis rather than using Class C alone |
| Legacy fifth wheels | Vanleigh Vilano, Vanleigh Beacon | Discontinued towable families, not a current production line |
Our broader RV brands we buy page covers other makes. Here, the goal is to identify your particular Tiffin accurately before discussing its value.
Class A Motorhomes: Allegro Open Road, Phaeton, RED, Bus and Zephyr
We buy Tiffin Class A motorhomes in both gas and diesel configurations. Allegro Open Road belongs in the gas category; Phaeton, Allegro RED, Allegro Bus and Zephyr belong in the diesel category. An inquiry that says only “Allegro” leaves too much room for confusion, so include the complete name shown on the coach or its records.
For a gas coach, useful details include mileage, starting and driving condition, generator operation, slide operation and service history. For a diesel coach, include engine and chassis details if known, plus records for relevant maintenance. Tell us about warning lights, fluid leaks or a coach that has been sitting rather than running regularly.
Interior photos should show the actual layout, not just the exterior badge. See our Class A motorhome buying page for that category, or compare the basic differences between a diesel pusher and gas motorhome.

Class B Camper Vans: Tiffin GH1
We buy Tiffin GH1 camper vans, with the GH1 verified as a 2025 model in used listings. That verification does not establish every available model year, so use your title and vehicle records to identify the van you own.
A camper van combines a road vehicle and living equipment in a compact space. Both sides matter: mileage and driving condition tell one part of the story, while the condition of installed appliances, water systems, electrical equipment and sleeping arrangements tells the other.
Photograph the cabin with storage and living areas visible. Mention changes to the original equipment, especially electrical additions or removed fixtures, because those changes can affect inspection and repair needs. If it has mainly served as a daily vehicle rather than a travel camper, say so and share its maintenance history. Our Class B camper van page explains the broader category.
Class C Motorhomes: Wayfarer and Allegro Bay
We buy Tiffin Wayfarer and Allegro Bay motorhomes within the Class C and Super C categories. The exact family, year and chassis help distinguish your unit more clearly than the description “Tiffin Class C.”
For these coaches, show the cab, the cab-to-house transition, exterior seams and any overhead sleeping or storage area your floor plan includes. These are useful inspection views on this type of RV, not claims of a particular Tiffin defect. Include clear photos of slide rooms and the areas around windows where staining or soft surfaces may be visible.
Tell us if the motorhome starts, drives and can be moved from its parking space. List house-system problems separately from driving problems so the description does not hide either one. You can also read about the other units covered on our Class C motorhome buying page.
Fifth Wheels: Legacy Vanleigh Vilano and Beacon
We buy older Vanleigh Vilano and Vanleigh Beacon fifth wheels even though Vanleigh RV ceased operations effective March 2023. These are legacy models associated with Tiffin’s former towable division, not newly manufactured fifth wheels in Tiffin’s present motorhome lineup.
Because a fifth wheel has no drivetrain, its offer depends more heavily on the trailer structure, running gear, living systems and condition. Useful photos include the front cap, pin box, frame areas you can safely see, tires, landing gear and each slide room. Note roof leaks, uneven slide movement, damaged skirting or appliances that no longer work.
Include the floor plan code and explain any furniture replacements or interior remodeling. A discontinued name does not prevent a sale, but missing parts or unresolved repairs can affect the offer. Our fifth-wheel buying page covers this RV type more broadly.
How do you find your Tiffin’s model year and floor plan?
Find your Tiffin’s identity by comparing its VIN plate or label, title, model decals and owner’s documents. Use several records together because a family badge alone usually does not provide the full floor plan or year.
Gather these items before requesting an offer:
- Title: Check the listed model year and VIN against the RV itself.
- VIN plate or certification label: Photograph it clearly; its location varies by vehicle and chassis.
- Exterior model decals: Capture the complete family name and any floor plan code.
- Owner’s manual and purchase records: Look for documents specific to your unit, not just a general manual.
- Layout photos: Show the beds, bathroom, kitchen and slide arrangement to help resolve an unclear code.
A motorhome’s chassis year can differ from the completed RV’s model year. A manufacturing date also is not automatically the model year. If records disagree, share both rather than guessing. You do not need to decode every character before starting the conversation.
What affects Tiffin resale value and your offer?
Tiffin resale value depends on the exact model, year, floor plan, equipment and present condition, rather than the badge alone. An advertised asking price for another coach is not proof of what yours will sell for, especially if the two have different repair needs.
We assess roof and seal condition, signs of water intrusion, slide function, appliances, electrical systems, tires and overall wear. Motorhomes also need a drivetrain assessment; fifth wheels need attention to towing components and running gear. Service records and clear photos help distinguish maintained equipment from equipment whose condition is unknown.
A Tiffin trade in value from another transaction may also differ from an outright purchase offer. For age-related context, see our guide to RV depreciation by year. We consider units with leaks, water damage or nonrunning engines, but substantial repair needs can mean a low offer. Disclose known problems so the discussion starts with the right expectations.
How does a Houston-area Tiffin sale work at your location?
A Houston-area Tiffin sale can take place where your RV is parked, without you delivering it to us. That may be a driveway near Lake Conroe, a storage space in Harris County or an RV park in Galveston County. Tell us about gate access, parking restrictions and room to move the RV.
Lake Conroe stays, Galveston visits and Hill Country trips can leave different patterns of use. Explain how your coach was used and stored, including long idle periods or exposure to coastal conditions; we assess the actual RV rather than assuming damage from its location.
Use the offer request page for guidance, then call or text 936-234-4278 with details and photos. The preliminary figure depends on that information and is verified when we inspect the RV. Payment occurs at signed closing before departure; any loan payoff is addressed then, with you receiving remaining equity or covering a shortfall.
Selling a Tiffin: common questions
Can I sell my Allegro Open Road without knowing the floor plan code?
Yes, you can start an offer discussion without the floor plan code. Send the model year, photos of the Allegro Open Road badge, any identification labels and interior layout photos. Purchase records may also contain the code. Identifying the layout more precisely helps separate your gas coach from other Open Road configurations before its value is assessed.
Should I repair my Phaeton before asking for an offer?
You do not have to complete repairs before asking for an offer on your Phaeton. Describe the problems and share any available diagnosis or repair estimate. Major work may cost more than it adds to a purchase offer, so avoid assuming you will recover every repair dollar. A nonrunning coach or one with water damage can still be considered.
Does Vanleigh’s closure mean my Vilano or Beacon cannot be sold?
No. Vanleigh RV’s closure effective March 2023 does not prevent you from selling a used Vilano or Beacon. These legacy fifth wheels are among the units we buy. The exact year, floor plan, structural condition and working equipment matter to the offer. Describe missing components or unfinished repairs rather than treating the discontinued name as the deciding factor.
Is an Allegro RED valued the same as an Allegro Bus?
No. Allegro RED and Allegro Bus are separate Tiffin Class A diesel model families, so one should not be used as a direct price substitute for the other. Model year, floor plan, equipment, mileage and condition also matter. Identify the full family name and provide records for your particular coach rather than relying on a general Allegro price comparison.
What photos should I send if my Tiffin is in storage?
Send accessible exterior views, the model badge, identification label, interior layout and close-ups of known damage. Include tire and roof-condition photos only if you can take them safely. For a motorhome, add the dashboard mileage and any warning lights. Explain storage access and anything that prevents starting, moving or opening slides; do not hide those limitations behind older travel photos.
