Truck Campers brands we buy
Don't see your brand? We buy every make of truck camper, any year.
A truck camper can be ready to sell even when the pickup that carried it is long gone. If you want to sell your truck camper in Houston, the details that matter include its bed fit, weight, jack condition and whether it can be loaded safely. Lisa RV Buyers evaluates these removable campers throughout Harris, Montgomery, Fort Bend, Brazoria and Galveston counties and nearby communities.
What counts as a truck camper?
A truck camper is a removable living unit carried in a pickup bed, rather than pulled on its own trailer chassis. To confirm yours, look for a lower section designed to sit inside the bed, a sleeping area that often extends over the cab, and mounting points for support jacks. It has no independent driving cab and ordinarily no road-going axle assembly. A camper shell covering a pickup bed is not the same thing as a self-contained truck camper.
Owners sometimes call these slide-in campers, even when the camper also has a slide-out room. That wording describes how the unit loads into the truck, not necessarily its floorplan. If your camper instead has its own wheels and a hitch coupler, review our travel trailer buying page before gathering the wrong information.
How do hard-side and pop-up truck campers differ?
Hard-side truck campers have fixed-height walls, while pop-up truck campers have a roof section that raises for use and lowers for travel. The construction changes what we need to inspect, especially around roof supports, seals and any flexible wall material.
For a hard-side camper, photograph the cab-over corners, roof seams and any slide-out both inside and outside. For a pop-up truck camper, include pictures with the roof raised and lowered, plus close-ups of fabric, screens, lift components and closure latches. Report uneven lifting or a roof that will not stay secured.
Do not assume a pop-up fits every pickup or that a hard-side always requires a long bed. The exact model and manufacturer specifications matter more than the broad category. A pickup-bed pop-up also differs from a towable folding camper; our pop-up camper page covers that separate RV type.

Which truck camper brands and model families do we buy?
We consider used truck campers from all makes and years, including Lance, Palomino and Northwood campers. The nameplate matters because similar-looking campers can have different dimensions, equipment and loading requirements.
Examples to identify when you contact us include:
- Lance: 650, 825, 855S, 865, 975, 1062 and 1172. Our Lance RV buying page covers the brand more broadly.
- Palomino: Backpack and Real-Lite truck campers, including SS-Series identification where shown on your camper. See our Palomino RV buying page.
- Northwood: Arctic Fox and Wolf Creek truck campers. Send the full model designation rather than the family name alone.
These are identification examples, not a statement that every model remains in production. Lisa RV Buyers does not require your camper to appear on this list. Photograph the data plate and exterior model decals, especially if an advertisement or old receipt uses a different name.
What is a used truck camper worth in Houston?
A used truck camper's value depends on its exact model, age, structural condition, working equipment and compatibility with suitable pickups. A desirable floorplan cannot erase damage around the jack brackets or a soft cab-over floor.
For planning only: a synthesis of used listings and published sale examples gives a rough $8,000–$40,000 used-market band for ordinary usable truck campers, broadly relevant to 2015–2025 units. Luxury multi-slide campers can reach $40,000–$70,000 or more, while older or damaged campers can fall below the ordinary band. These figures are not measured medians, official J.D. Power category ranges or cash offers, and normally exclude the truck.
Bed compatibility affects the likely buyer pool. Report short-bed or long-bed requirements from the manufacturer's information, along with labeled weight. Dry weight is not the same as loaded weight with water, batteries, propane and belongings. For more on matching comparable units, read how to estimate your RV's value.
What should you send to sell your truck camper in Houston?
Send the camper's identity, condition, fit information and loading situation so we can evaluate the actual unit rather than a generic model description. You can call or text 936-234-4278; photos are especially useful for showing equipment that is missing or damaged.

Our preliminary number uses your description and pictures; we confirm it after examining the camper. Accurate photos help keep that inspection from introducing unexpected differences. The offer request page provides another place to review the information to gather.
Can you sell a truck camper without the truck?
Yes, you can sell the camper separately from the pickup, and the truck is normally outside the camper sale. Tell us if your asking figure includes a truck, but do not assume we are purchasing the vehicle too.
Jacks support and raise the camper for loading. Tie-downs anchor it to the truck, while turnbuckles connect and tension the attachment points. Identify which pieces belong to the camper and which are mounted on your pickup; hardware fitted to one truck may not suit another.
We arrange collection at your camper's location, so you do not have to deliver it. Safe loading still needs planning: describe broken jacks, sinking feet, missing controls, narrow gates, overhead clearance and soft ground. Do not lift an unstable camper just to take photos. If it is already loaded, leave it in its current safe position until the pickup arrangement is settled.
Which Houston-area condition problems matter most?
Water intrusion, weakened mounting areas and damaged loading equipment deserve particular attention because they affect both resale condition and safe handling. A camper can look clean inside while leaks have softened the structure near its cab-over or jack attachments.
In Greater Houston's humid climate, tell us about musty odors, persistent condensation and air-conditioning performance. For campers used around Galveston or other Gulf Coast locations, photograph exposed hardware for corrosion and disclose salt exposure or flooding. Coastal use does not automatically mean damage; actual condition is what matters.
Check roof seams, windows, roof penetrations and slide seals for stains or previous repairs. Also report plumbing leaks, tank problems, refrigerator faults and questionable electrical modifications. Recent sealant does not establish that the material underneath is sound. Keep repair invoices and photograph affected areas without removing structural panels or attempting unsafe repairs solely for the sale.
Does a truck camper need a Texas title to sell?
A truck camper should not automatically be treated as a separately titled road trailer; confirm the particular unit's classification and ownership requirements. The pickup's title does not, by itself, establish ownership of a removable camper bought separately.
Gather your purchase agreement, bill of sale, manufacturer paperwork, serial-number information and any title issued for the camper. Explain an out-of-state purchase or outstanding financing before arranging collection. Ask TxDMV or the relevant county tax office which documents apply to your specific unit rather than relying on trailer weight rules.
We can help you identify the paperwork needed, but the sale must have a lawful ownership path. Only the legal owner or someone with authority to sell can complete it. Our Texas RV title and transfer guide explains common documents; its trailer instructions should not be applied automatically to a removable truck camper.
Truck Campers: seller questions
Should I repair a leaking roof before requesting an offer?
You do not need to hide or minimize a leak before asking about selling your truck camper. Describe where water entered, how long it has been happening and any repairs already attempted. Photos and invoices help distinguish a repaired seam from possible structural damage. Consider the repair cost before assuming the work will increase the sale value by the same amount.
What if the camper's model decal is missing?
Look for a manufacturer data plate, serial-number label, owner's paperwork or original purchase records. Send photos of the camper's exterior, interior layout and any remaining identification. Do not guess the year or model from appearance alone. Similar truck campers can have different bed requirements and equipment, so explain which details are confirmed and which remain uncertain.
Will solar panels or lithium batteries raise my camper's value?
Working solar equipment or lithium batteries may contribute to a truck camper's value, but their original purchase cost is not automatically recoverable. Provide equipment labels, installation records and a description of how the system operates. Wiring quality, battery condition and compatibility matter. Also identify equipment you plan to remove so the camper can be evaluated as it will actually be sold.
Can you collect a camper from a storage facility?
Lisa RV Buyers can arrange pickup from a storage facility within its Greater Houston service area. Tell us about gate access, facility rules, appointment requirements and space around the camper. Its support position and jack condition also matter. Confirm that you have permission to access and remove the camper before a collection arrangement is finalized.
Does the amount I owe determine my truck camper's value?
A loan balance does not set your truck camper's market value. Its model, condition, equipment and the used market determine the valuation, while financing affects the ownership and closing requirements. Disclose any loan or security interest and gather lender information. Do not assume a bill of sale alone removes a lender's claim against the camper.
