A.C.E. Value Guide

What's My Thor A.C.E. Worth?

Your Thor A.C.E.’s resale value reflects its model year, generation or era, floor plan, condition, mileage, engine and generator hours, equipment, and service records. Begin with a book lookup for that exact coach, then compare a cash offer. Lisa RV Buyers purchases used A.C.E. motorhomes in Greater Houston; an in-person inspection is needed to confirm the purchase amount.

Class A diesel pusher motorhome driving on a Texas highway

A 2021 Thor A.C.E. can have a V10 or a V8, so the year on your title alone is not enough to choose a useful comparison. Its sleeping layout matters, too: dedicated bunks serve a different household than theater seating. The A.C.E., built by Thor Motor Coach, is a gas Class A whose name means A and C Evolution—not a hybrid engine system.

What's my Thor A.C.E. worth on a book-value guide?

A book lookup gives you a reference point for your exact A.C.E., not a confirmed purchase amount. On J.D. Power’s RV guide, match the year and floor-plan entry, then check how the listed equipment compares with yours. Read the value labels carefully: original suggested list price, low retail and average retail describe different things.

Retail figures are not interchangeable with an outright cash bid. A buyer must account for the coach’s actual condition, needed work and equipment that functions—or does not. An advertised asking price also tells you what a seller hopes to receive, not what someone paid.

This page is a model guide, not an appraisal of your motorhome. For broader explanations of price references, see how to estimate an RV’s worth; the details below help you choose the right A.C.E. comparison.

How do A.C.E. model years and generations differ?

The useful A.C.E. dividing points are its early layouts, the 2021 engine transition and the newer floor-plan range. Treat these as model-year eras rather than official generation names.

Years What changed
2011–2012 The 2011 listings include Ford-based EVO 29.1 and EVO 29.2, each with one slide. Early features include a drop-down front bunk and pet-oriented fittings; full-body paint was optional for 2012.
2021 The brochure lists 27.2, 30.3, 30.4, 32.3 and 33.1. It includes a V10 and a late-availability V8, making engine identification essential.
2026–2027 The range lists 29D, 29G, 30C and 32B. The 2026 brochure specifies a 7.3-liter V8, dual roof air conditioners, 50-amp power, tankless water heating and a 100-watt solar panel.

The line runs from 2011 through the current 2027 offering. Identify yours using the title, VIN label, floor-plan marking and matching year’s brochure. Do not choose a newer layout simply because its number resembles yours. The model-value directory covers other RV lines separately.

Which A.C.E. layouts make the strongest comparison?

The closest comparison uses your floor-plan code and its actual bedroom, bathroom and seating arrangement. Floor-plan numbers are not exact measurements: the 2011 EVO 29.1 and EVO 29.2 are both listed at 29 feet 6 inches.

The EVO 29.1 has an L-shaped galley and a split bathroom, with the shower across from the toilet and sink. The EVO 29.2 puts those bathroom fixtures together in one enclosed room. That difference can matter to someone comparing privacy and aisle access.

For 2021, the 30.3 pairs a queen bed with an exterior kitchen, the 32.3 adds dedicated bunks and a rear king bed, and the 33.1 has theater seating. Current 29D and 29G layouts both measure 30 feet 9 inches, but the 29D has an exterior kitchen while the 29G emphasizes wardrobe space and a rear bathroom ensuite. The 30C has a king bed; the 33-foot-5-inch 32B is the dedicated bunk layout. Family sleeping needs and storage preferences shape buyer interest—not length alone.

Why does the engine matter on a 2021 A.C.E.?

A 2021 A.C.E. needs an engine check because its brochure includes two Ford F-53 configurations. One uses the 6.8-liter Triton V10; the other, identified as late availability, uses the 7.3-liter V8. Both are paired with a TorqShift six-speed automatic. Confirm the installed engine through the chassis identification and service records rather than assuming the RV year settles it.

The 2026 brochure specifies the F-53, 7.3-liter V8 and TorqShift six-speed. Mileage helps describe use, but engine hours, generator hours and maintenance history add context. Record hours if available; do not estimate missing readings.

Towing comparisons also need care. The early EVO 29 road test reports 5,000-pound towing capacity. The 2021 and 2026 brochures list an 8,000-pound hitch, but combined-weight limits still apply. A hitch label alone does not establish what your loaded coach can safely tow.

What raises or lowers a used A.C.E.’s value?

Working equipment, a dry interior and evidence of upkeep strengthen an A.C.E. comparison; unresolved damage and uncertain repairs weaken it. Features help only when they are actually installed and usable.

Details that can support value:

  • Dedicated bunks in a 32.3 or 32B, plus a working powered front bunk.
  • Verified exterior kitchen, theater seating or optional full-body paint.
  • Effective cooling with the correct electrical service: the 2021 27.2 has one roof air conditioner and 30-amp service; the other four 2021 layouts have dual units.
  • Roof-seal repair invoices, a dry wardrobe and a slide-operation demonstration.
  • Maintenance receipts showing dates, mileage and work performed.

Details that can lower an offer:

  • Water stains, damp flooring or unresolved roof-molding leaks. One 2014 A.C.E. owner reported water entering the wardrobe; that is an individual report, not proof of a line-wide defect.
  • A slide that hesitates or needs repeated attempts. An A.C.E. 27.1 owner reported this behavior, without an established cause.
  • Nonworking cooling, generator or sleeping equipment.
  • Unresolved recall work or repairs that cannot be explained.

Keep before-and-after photos with invoices. A receipt documenting the leak repair is more useful than simply saying the stain is old.

Which A.C.E. recalls should you check before selling?

Check your own VIN because the A.C.E. campaigns below cover certain vehicles or equipment, not every motorhome bearing that year.

  • 17V239000: Certain 2017 coaches had hitch labels stating 10,000 pounds instead of the actual 8,000-pound capacity. Overloading could damage the coach or separate the hitch; the remedy was corrected labels.
  • 20V339000: Certain 2020–2021 coaches had frameless-window adhesive bonds that could fail, allowing glass to detach. The remedy called for inspection and replacement where needed; Thor’s campaign number is RC000192.
  • 17V758000: Records for certain 2013 and 2017 A.C.E. coaches include recalled Kidde plastic-handle or push-button extinguishers. They could clog, need excessive force or lose their nozzle; replacement was the remedy.

Use the NHTSA VIN recall search, then retain completion paperwork identifying the coach and repair. For the window campaign, distinguish a recall repair from unrelated window resealing.

Where should a Gulf Coast A.C.E. inspection focus?

For an A.C.E. stored around Houston, focus on roof seams, wardrobe corners, floors and cooling performance. Rain and humidity make signs of moisture worth investigating, but storage location alone does not prove damage.

The 2021 construction includes laminated roof, walls and floor, an aluminum roof and sidewall cage, and a steel floor structure. An aluminum cage does not make the entire interior immune to water damage. Its brochure specifies a one-piece TPO roof; verify the roof material on other years before choosing care products or describing repairs.

Photograph roof-molding areas and check beneath wardrobe contents for stains or dampness. Note covered versus exposed storage and show any seal-maintenance records. In Houston heat, demonstrate each installed roof air conditioner rather than relying on its appearance. Cooling configurations vary, even within the 2021 range.

What information helps us price your A.C.E.?

A useful A.C.E. offer request identifies the exact coach and shows its condition clearly. Lisa RV Buyers buys both current and older used A.C.E. model years directly from owners, as part of the Class A motorhomes we buy.

For an A.C.E. offer request, call or text 936-234-4278 and provide:

  • Model year, floor-plan code and VIN.
  • Odometer mileage, generator hours and engine hours if available.
  • Exterior, roof, floor and damage photos.
  • Engine identification, installed equipment and repair records.

Requesting a number costs nothing and does not commit you to selling. Your details and pictures let us make an initial offer; seeing the motorhome lets us confirm it against the condition described. We visit its location across Greater Houston and organize pickup, so you do not need to drive your A.C.E. to us. Our purchase details explain the closing arrangements.

Questions

Thor A.C.E. value: owner questions

Does A.C.E. mean this motorhome has a hybrid powertrain?

No. Thor A.C.E. stands for A and C Evolution, describing a combination of Class A and Class C design features. It is a gasoline-powered Class A motorhome. Its Class A cockpit and exterior storage are paired with features such as a powered overhead sleeping bunk. Identify the installed gas engine before choosing a used-value comparison.

How can I research the value of a 2016 Thor ACE?

Start with the floor-plan code and VIN from your own 2016 Thor ACE, then look for the matching year and layout in an RV pricing guide. Use its brochure and equipment records to check the comparison. Do not substitute specifications from a 2021 or current coach. Photos, mileage, generator hours and repair history are needed to move from a guide reference toward a purchase offer.

Is a Thor A.C.E. blue book value what a cash buyer will pay?

No. An RV guide provides a pricing reference under its stated categories and assumptions. A cash buyer evaluates the individual A.C.E., including working systems, water damage, repair needs and installed equipment. Confirm that the guide entry matches your year and floor plan, then compare its labeled value with an actual offer rather than treating them as the same figure.

Will low mileage offset high generator hours?

Low mileage and high generator hours describe different kinds of use on a Thor A.C.E.; one does not cancel the other. Share both readings, along with generator service receipts and a demonstration that it operates. Engine hours, if available, add another detail. The condition of the living area, roof, slides and cooling equipment still matters alongside those readings.

Can I sell an A.C.E. with a roof leak or an engine that will not run?

Lisa RV Buyers considers A.C.E. motorhomes with leaks, water damage and nonrunning engines. Show the damage clearly and explain any diagnosis or attempted repair. A badly deteriorated coach may receive a modest offer because its condition changes the purchase decision. There is no need to hide a wardrobe stain or describe an unresolved leak as repaired.

Should I include accessories and upgrades in my A.C.E. description?

Yes. Identify what is installed on your A.C.E. rather than assuming it came standard for that year. Include photos and records for items such as an exterior kitchen, paint, cooling equipment or solar equipment. Explain whether each item works. An accessory can help describe the coach accurately, but its original purchase cost does not automatically become an equal increase in resale value.
